Building Regulations
Building Regulations (sometimes known as building standards) define how a new building or alteration is to be constructed to correspond with the Building Control requirements.
The regulations cover the following areas and will require adherence, even if you don’t need to attain planning permission.
-
When erecting a new building;
-
When extending or altering an existing building; and
-
When providing services which can only be inspected by a building control inspector e.g. installing a steel beam/ knocking down a load bearing wall.
This is our area; we handle the entire structural design process and manage the online application on behalf of you, and keep tracking the entire process with the Building Control department of your council, within one essential cost.
